Lilly's Story...
Lilly is a typical little doxie. She can be loving and low key, but she can be protective and in your face! She needs rehomed because her owners have passed away. Her current foster family thought they might keep her, but she is not warming up to the wife in the household...she is hot and cold in her affection. Sometimes she wants petted, but then she starts to growl and doesn't want anything to do with her. She is great with the husband, so maybe a better dog for men? She is house trained, knows some cute little tricks and is a snuggle bug! If you are interested in giving Lilly her new forever home, please contact me. We will see if Lilly picks you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a Chewelah Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Chewelah, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Chewelah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chewelah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chewelah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chewelah paves the way for another one to be saved.
