Trisha's Story...
This gorgeous young lady is Trisha, a 2 year old collie/great pyrenees mix that is eager to get on with her life in a loving home. Trisha had a home, but was given up when her owners could no longer care for her. Trisha is truly a gentle giantess. She is a large girl, but so very sweet, loving, and gentle. She just loves attention and while she is out for a walk, she will stop anyone that passes by to give them a smile, tail wag, and hug. She is a big hugger and nothing makes her happier than when you hug her back. Trisha makes friends so easily and there is no shyness about her. She has excellent manners and walks like an angel on a leash, and also sits nicely when asked. She takes treats very gently and will scamper off with a toy, but bring it right back to you when you call her. Trisha is very mild mannered and easy going. Trisha is not a fan of other dogs so she will need to be the only dog in the home, but she doesn't seem to acknowledge cats at all. Trisha just adores people of all ages and would transition very easily into any great home with a family that will love and care for her always. File#25319 5/16/15

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trisha, a Forked River Collie/Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Great Pyrenees for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Collie/Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Collie/Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
