Here's what the humans have to say about me:
http://www.valleydogs.org/reese.html -- My name is Reese. I am your typical golden/lab mix temperament - goofy, loving, affection seeking, want to be in the middle of it all, happy-go-lucky girl who just wants to spend time and generally enjoying life.
My original owner passed away and Valley Dogs Rescue was able to take me in. I had an eye injury that had not been treated and became infected. It was necessary for the eye to be removed, but it does not slow me down now that I have adjusted to it and I feel back to my old happy self again.
I love to play ball – well, I love for you to throw the ball and I may bring it back and give it to you; or I may bring it back and play keep away with you; or I may just not bring it back. The point is, I do like to play. I am currently in a foster home with 13 other dogs from 6 pounds to 58 pounds and get along with all of them. One of the little ones is my best friend and we play “keep the tennis ball away from the other one”. At first my foster mom was worried the little one may get hurt, but I am careful and we have a lot of fun playing that game. I enjoy going on walks, although I am still learning some of the finer points of leash manners.
I love affection from my humans. If another dog is getting loved on, I will bring my big old self in and just plop my head on someone’s lap to make sure I get my share as well. I am not mean or aggressive about it – I just meander on in for my fair share. I also make a great lap warmer and am not a big shedder.
Sometimes, because of my size, my foster mom calls me “buffalo”, so I may not be best suited for homes with tiny children.
Do I sound like the dog you may be looking for? A big love chunk?
