Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rusty is a very friendly and affectionate boy. He is about 9 mos. old. Shy at first glance, he warms up in a New York Minute and will quickly be rubbing against your legs! Rusty loves to be pet and purrs a lot. He will head bump and rub for more but mellows once he gets a full dose of attention. He is definitely a lap cat and likes to snooze in your lap or purr while you pet him. Rusty also enjoys "quiet time" where he is content to just lie down and keep you company or watch what's going on outside the window. Or he may just find a comfortable spot to take a catnap.
For a fun time Rusty likes to chase balls and toy mice. Wand toys are okay and he will play for a bit but really prefers to bat his toys around the room. He also enjoys looking out the window. He likes using a scratch post. Doesn't much like being combed but has no problem getting his nails trimmed. And he talks a bit, especially at mealtime. He has a funny little burble-chirp when he's curious about things. This sweet and gentle boy will grow into a wonderful companion.
Rusty would be fine as an only kitty but would probably do well with other friendly cats and may get along with dogs with the right introduction. An adult household would be best or a home with older children. He is an INDOOR ONLY kitty.
