Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET TIGG!
This adorable little lamb(?) is named Tigg! She'a is a ~10 year old Toy Poodle/Sheep mix who was left in the care of a neighbor while her owner went away, but unfortunately, her owner never came back for her! Her caretaker could not keep a dog full time so had to bring her to Philly's animal control shelter. The shelter is a scary place and it was especially scary to Tigg so the staff asked for rescue help to get her back out! She's now safe in foster care!
Tigg weighs around 10 lbs. and is currently living with other dogs and with cats, all of which she gets along with great! She's not one to romp around and play with her furry friends, but would rather just hang out and snooze on the couch with them! We think Tigg would be most happy in a home with other dogs because she takes cues from them and feels more secure when left alone when she has other dogs to show its okay to be alone! Tigg is a bit shy when meeting new people and took a few days to warm up to her foster family. After the first week, Tigg settled in nicely and began to show her adorable personality! Because she is a bit shy and can be nippy if she's startled, Tigg would do best in a home without young children or with older children who will respect her space when needed. While Tigg is an older girl with some age-related hip degeneration. She is currently on a pain-management regiment but she gets around great! There's not much that can slow this girl down. Tigg will make a wonderful addition to any family looking for a small, uniquely adorable dog who doesn't require much!
Tigg is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love! She is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed and is microchipped. She's also recently had her teeth professionally cleaned!
