Charlie's Story...
Charlie is a 5 ½ year old, 75 pound German Shorthair Pointer who is friendly and outgoing. Charlie’s nub (his tail is docked) is almost always wagging, along with his whole rear end. He likes other dogs and enjoys playing with them but is also very attached to his people and follows along wherever they go. Charlie is a quiet guy, if he barks there is a reason. His favorite place is wherever you are, he loves cuddling up to his people on the couch and getting his belly rubbed. Charlie loves to go for car rides and rides really well. His favorite game is catch.
Charlie is not trained to hunt. The only thing he is going to hunt is his spot on the couch beside you.
Charlie would like a home with a fenced yard to run and play in and no cats.
Charlie is housetrained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Lisbon German Shorthaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Lisbon, or seeking a German Shorthaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Lisbon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lisbon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lisbon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lisbon paves the way for another one to be saved.
