Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Newton. I am a male schnauzer and thought to be about 8 years of age. I came from a home with 3 other schnauzer's, but due to housing circumstances, I was relinquished to Valley Dogs Rescue for re-homing.
In his new foster home, he is a happy guy who loves to be in a lap, cuddling with the other dogs or laying on a pillow. He is friendly with all kids and dogs and just wants to be a member of the family and give you kisses. He spends his time standing next to the kids while they do homework (moral support) and waits patiently for his time for cuddles and pets. He loves all dogs big and small and is a very submissive and mellow dog. If you are looking for an easy adoption or transition into the home, Newton is your man. He is potty trained, dog door trained, completely trust worthy in the house all day alone while parents are at work, etc.
He walks well on a leash, but gets distracted with all the smells and new adventures. Although he is a bit older, he still has plenty of good years left and has lots of spunk and energy. Mini Schnauzers live to be 15-17 years old so he should have plenty of years left in a future forever home. He likes to be in the middle of everything so he is best suited for a family who would want me included on just about everything.
He is currently in a great foster home in Tempe, but while they absolutely adore him, they can't keep him long term due to their international travel all summers. Let us know if you want to meet sweet little Newton!
