Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This beautiful boy is Takaani. Takaani is an 11 year old Malamute mix, born in 2005. He is a very happy and laid back boy who is looking for a new home. His previous owner became ill and could no longer care for Takaani, and returned him to the rescue he was originally adopted from.
Takaani loves long walks (he is good on a lead) and would make a great hiking/camping companion. He rides well in a vehicle, so whether you are into going for a day trip or weekend camping excursion up north, Takaani would love to go along with you. Being a good sized boy he enjoys having room to roam, so a home with a yard is a must.
He also enjoys being with his humans, enjoying their company, lying at their feet sunning himself or enjoying an afternoon nap. Takaani is crate trained and doggie door trained. He also is not spooked with being around wheelchairs and walkers. Takaani is wonderful with children, but because of his size it is recommended he be in a home with children 10 years of age and older.
Some of the things Takaani is fond of are giving kisses, LOVES getting belly rubs and cheeseburgers. Takaani is good with other dogs small or large (with proper introductions), but is a little too fond of cats so he cannot be in a home with cats. He is a big ole love bug and is anxiously waiting to join his new family.
Takaani is neutered, up to date on his shots and has had excellent vet care – including dentals - since his original adoption in 2008.
