MEET TIBBIT!
Nope, no need to adjust your screen - this boy really is as handsome as he looks. Plus, he's adoptable! Tibbit is a 10-12 year old tabby and white Domestic Shorthair who was surrendered to Philly's animal control shelter because his former family was moving and could not bring their pet along. While he took to the shelter setting better than most of his feline counterparts, the shelter is no place for an older cat so he was selected for euthanasia. Luckily, a City of Elderly Love foster family stepped up to save his life just in time!
Tibbit has been nothing but a joy since we met him. He's social, affectionate and easy-going! He's also in amazing shape with nice teeth so we also suspect that he might be a bit younger than reported. He is currently in foster care with other cats with whom he's comfortable around, though he mostly just ignores them. His favorite things in life include purring and bumping his head into you for pets! Tibbit was surrendered to the shelter with a history of urinary crystals, which is actually very common for adult male cats. Our vets performed a urinalysis on him immediately which showed that he does not currently have any! We do recommend that Tibbit stay on a high-quality wet food diet or his specialty urinary food to prevent crystals from forming and him from experiencing a urinary blockage, which isn't a big deal since he loves his food! Other than that minor detail, Tibbit is a happy and healthy guy who would do well in just about any home!
