Sam is a 2 year old Blue Heeler that a family found on Craig’s List. When they got him home they found out he is deaf, which has been confirmed by our vet. He was chasing chickens so he has spent the last year and a half of his life on a chain. He is heartworm negative and has been brought up to date on his vaccines, as well as his heart worm and flea and tick preventatives. He gets along great with other dogs, chickens and cats, not so much. Sam would be a wonderful family dog, he loves adults and children. A good fenced in yard is imperative. A deaf dog can be taught to respond to hand movements and as a cattle dog he has an advantage there as well. http://www.paw-rescue.org/PAW/PETTIPS/DogTip_DeafDogs.php
His adoption fee is $200. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) group, so all funds go right back into the care of these and future wonderful pups.
