Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Poor Doris has been so neglected in her young life yet she remains just the sweetest girl around. Doris is only a little over a year old and this darling shar pei came to us from our Newark facility after she was found as a stray. It seems more likely that she was dumped, since poor Doris can hardly see and doesn't want to wander anywhere. She came in with severe entropion in both eyes (inverted eyelids), was thin, and her skin was neglected as well. We will be sending Doris for surgery to repair the entropion and can't wait for the day when she can see clearly again and her eyes will no longer cause her grief. In the meantime, she would love to have a wonderful home lined up to go to where she can start life again. Although Doris was clearly let down by her former family, she still just loves people. She is very trusting, friendly, outgoing and sociable. She's always ready to make a new friend and has such a warm and bubbly personality. Doris is well behaved, housebroken, and seems just fine with other dogs also, but she will need a home with no cats. This little sweetheart is ready to meet a family that will give her all of the love and attention that she deserves. File#26705 9/13/16
