Ollie (Neutered)'s Story...
"Ollie" is an adorable male kitten who was surrendered by his owner on June 30, 2016 along with his six siblings (Octavia, Olaf, Olympia, Opie, Oprah, and Oscar). They were 2-months old when they entered our shelter. This handsome young man has a magnificent white short smooth coat with black/brown swirled tabby highlights, a long tail, and a rather mischievous-looking kitten face with hopeful innocent eyes and a pink nose. "Ollie" is a real playboy who is always ready to participate in silly kitten games/antics :) He was given vaccinations and wormer on September 15, 2016. ""Ollie" and his sisters/brothers (Octavia, Olaf, Olympia, Opie, Oprah, and Oscar) are enjoying the freedom of our large nursery room just off the lobby in our shelter, and we invite you to stop by and watch their version of the 'Kitty Half-Time Show' as an early premiere for Super Bowl 2017 <3 UPDATE: "Ollie" was neutered on September 21, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine. One of his siblings (Olaf) has been combo tested and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm .. Which is also great news for the rest of these boys and girls!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ollie (Neutered), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
