Pal would be such a perfect companion for anyone who is searching for that loyal and loving adult dog. At 5 - 6 years old and 24 lbs, he is so portable and agreeable that he can be a full-time best friend...accompanying his guardians everywhere a wonderful dog with great manners is allowed.

It's always amazing to us at Farfel's Rescue that these dogs with great well as so very cute end up in precarious situations. Pal was a last-minute save for us...he would have been euthanized in a dismal Texas shelter if kind TX rescuers hadn't stepped up...they loved him and were determined that he find a great home with a family that truly loves him. This little dog is just so awesome with many healthy years ahead...many years in which he can bring so much joy and love to a special family.

Pal, as a mature guy has such great manners (he is completely house trained and very respectful of his home) and general behavior (complete love bug!). He is an all-time snuggler and will cuddle his way into any heart! Pal may be a bit shy initially as transport and rehoming is challenging for any dog...but with love and nurturing, he will absolutely shine.

We envision Pal with a retired couple or individual...he would be overjoyed with the time he could spend in their company. It's not that Pal is a needy guy...not at all...he just loves the company of his humans who respect him for all his wonderful traits. Pal also likes children and enjoys playing with them...but we would only be open to kids who can be gentle and understanding that Pal (like all dogs) needs soft and kind handling. For those family members who enjoy walks and time outside in the beautiful Colorado scenery...Pal would love nothing more than to share the experience. He is always up for a walk or hike..fascinated by the activity around him. He breathes in the happy to be free of the dismal shelter environment. Then...maybe his favorite's time to end the day with hugs, belly rubs and a warm spot on the bed beside his favorite people.

Pal is arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 10/6/16. About Farfel's Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We own a pet boutique named Farfel's Farm on Pearl Street in Boulder, CO. We have had the good fortune to find our niche in the Boulder community and experience success. We felt it very important to "pay it forward" in gratitude for our good luck. We couldn't think of a better endeavor than to save dogs who were out of time in the southern states, yet had been identified with great temperaments. We dedicate our efforts to their good health and ultimate wonderful, permanent homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Pets are transported from the southern states approximately twice per month. Almost 100% of the time, the dogs are spoken for as a result of adoption applications that can be referenced under Adoption at We study the applications. If the app indicates there is a match, followed up by a home visit and reference checks, the process moves to the next step. The adopter is committing to a 2-week foster (of course the dog can be returned at any time prior), and can then choose to finalize the adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adoptions start out as a 2-week mandatory foster period. During that time, Farfel's covers all vet issues if one of Farfel's rescue vets is used. We also serve as a support with trainers and behaviorists on board for questions. An Adoption Application and an Adoption Contract must be completed before any dog can begin their 2-week foster. Our average adoption fee runs about $395. This amount serves to cover vetting, spay/neuter, all vaccinations, heart worm testing, temperament testing and transport. Our dogs come from Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and rural Colorado.
