Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pal would be such a perfect companion for anyone who is searching for that loyal and loving adult dog. At 5 - 6 years old and 24 lbs, he is so portable and agreeable that he can be a full-time best friend...accompanying his guardians everywhere a wonderful dog with great manners is allowed.
It's always amazing to us at Farfel's Rescue that these dogs with great temperaments...as well as so very cute end up in precarious situations. Pal was a last-minute save for us...he would have been euthanized in a dismal Texas shelter if kind TX rescuers hadn't stepped up...they loved him and were determined that he find a great home with a family that truly loves him. This little dog is just so awesome with many healthy years ahead...many years in which he can bring so much joy and love to a special family.
Pal, as a mature guy has such great manners (he is completely house trained and very respectful of his home) and general behavior (complete love bug!). He is an all-time snuggler and will cuddle his way into any heart! Pal may be a bit shy initially as transport and rehoming is challenging for any dog...but with love and nurturing, he will absolutely shine.
We envision Pal with a retired couple or individual...he would be overjoyed with the time he could spend in their company. It's not that Pal is a needy guy...not at all...he just loves the company of his humans who respect him for all his wonderful traits. Pal also likes children and enjoys playing with them...but we would only be open to kids who can be gentle and understanding that Pal (like all dogs) needs soft and kind handling. For those family members who enjoy walks and time outside in the beautiful Colorado scenery...Pal would love nothing more than to share the experience. He is always up for a walk or hike..fascinated by the activity around him. He breathes in the air...so happy to be free of the dismal shelter environment. Then...maybe his favorite part...it's time to end the day with hugs, belly rubs and a warm spot on the bed beside his favorite people.
Pal is arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 10/6/16. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/.
