Oakley is a one year old Shar Pei/Pit Bull mix. Oakley was found running down the road, scared and confused. After she was rescued, it was obvious that she was a huge sweet heart, just in need of some TLC. Oakley has a huge heart, and the personality to go with it. Her hilarious antics, combined with her alien like looks, are sure to put a smile on just about anyone's face.
She has had training and continues to learn fast. Sit as an example can be issued from far away and she obeys. Very obedient and wanting to learn!
Oakley LOVES people and dogs alike, but does need to be fed separately from other canines, as she exhibits some resource guarding. Other than that, Oakley wants nothing more than to play! She is great at playing with other dogs, and absolutely loves tug-o-war. She is also very good with small children. They can poke her nose or pull her tail, and it doesn't bother her a bit!
Oakley is an energetic dog as she is still young, and she has had lots of practice with bike rides! She trots politely beside you as you ride, and never pulls. She would make a great running or biking buddy! But don't let her energy fool you...Oakley is a cuddler! At bedtime, or after a long play session, she's likely to curl herself up into a ball by your side, asking for love. She especially enjoys being covered by the blankets, and will be the perfect foot warmer for those chilly winter nights.
Overall, Oakley is an incredible dog. She is filled with love and playfulness, and would serve to make a great addition to anyone's family. She is the perfect balance of bouncy puppy and relaxed lovebug. This pup will steal your heart!
