My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Josie" is a stunning 3-1/2 year old female Hound mix who was surrendered by her family on April 12, 2016. This beautiful girl has an apricot-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and a lovely serene-looking face with a liver-colored nose and short semi-erect ears. She has the sweetest expressions on her face and is gorgeous when you see her in person. Her right ear is white with apricot spotting while her left ear is solid apricot. She has a patch of apricot around her right eye. Her previous owner told us that Josie seems to bond quickly with her people and tends to become loyal and protective of her territory. "Josie" is not good with small children and that was the reason she was surrendered :( The family had a toddler in the home and Josie was nervous around him and would sometimes growl. "Josie" has been kept indoors and is housebroken, and she walks well on a leash. She weighs 60-65 lbs., and she has already been spayed. We believe that there is a perfect home waiting for "Josie". Our shelter staff and volunteers love this girl and would be happy to introduce potential adopters/rescue groups to her since she is a little cautious around people she has not yet made friends with. These updated photos were taken on the evening of October 18, 2016 when one of Josie's favorite volunteers was enjoying time with her during the HSOV after-hours dog walk. The deep shadows seemed to enhance her beauty even more <3
