My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miss Honey is a 1 year old lady who had a rough start in life. Struggling in the mean Brooklyn streets, she was trying her hardest to get noticed and land herself a home. She managed to find one, but it only led to a different kind of sadness. She was never interacted with, left to live a life under a couch, coming out for food and discovering there was none left because another cat in the household already gotten to it.
When Miss Honey came to us, she was terrified, malnourished, and seemed to want to disappear into whatever corner she could find. After many reassuring talks, a name change (she came to us- Cleo), delicious meals all to herself, Miss Honey started coming out of her shell, and showing interest in human company. Now after only a month of safety, Miss Honey is a changed lady: She loves playing with her catnip toy, will call out to be petted, and will throw her little body in pure ecstasy when being petted.
It is heartwarming how today Miss Honey hugs the hands of our volunteer staff, when only a short time ago those hands were avoided at all cost. She is trusting, full of love to give, and can barely contain her excitement when we talk to her about her forever family.

Is Miss Honey waiting for you? Miss Honey is already spayed, up to date with vaccines, and has tested negative for both FeLV and FIV.
