My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Manchas is dreaming of a person of her own to love. She is a sweet and shy girl who seems to be a Border Collie and Cattle Dog mix. She is a quick learner, wants to please, and can sometimes be a bit protective of her people and her surroundings. She is extremely food motivated which makes training her easier. Knows sit, stay, wait, touch, down, come, out and off. Most of these are with hand and vocal signals. Manchas is a perfect balance of quiet, low drive, combined with a “Let’s Play” attitude. She’s about 5 years old and has regained her girlish figure after having puppies. She enjoys going for walks and is very respectful on a leash. She has been spayed, is heartworm negative, microchipped, has received all her shots, is crate trained, and housebroken.

She is very affectionate and people focused. Manchas follows her foster mom everywhere she goes and loves being able to snuggle. She also loves her foster dad. In her foster home, she quickly learned "sit", "down" and "touch" and is still learning more. Because of all the recent change in her life, and her desperate desire for a family of her own family to love, Manchas can get snippy towards other dogs when they get too close to her people. Once she knows she's secure and loved, it goes away. However, she is not fond of small dogs and her foster mom recommends that she not live in a home with small dogs. She seems fine with cats. Her foster mom said she never met a girl that is more willing to learn the rules when she has consistent love and understanding. With all the recent life changes, Manchas is still blossoming into the dog she wants to be as she gets comfortable in her foster home but is showing a loving and playful nature. Can you handle a laid back girl that wants to be close and just needs to know she finally has a home forever?
