Sissy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sissy's Story...
Sissy is a female, 12 year old, Australian shepherd mix weighing 51 lbs. She is part of a bonded pair with Rebel who is the black dog with her in the attached photo (also see his profile on Adopt-a-pet). She is in good health for a senior dog and is up to date on her shots. She takes a daily low dose aspirin for normal aches and gets around just fine. Sissy is currently at Stone County Humane Society (SCHS) in 17379 Highway 9 in Mountain View, Arkansas and arrived there came on 9/14/16. Sissy's former owner brought her (and Rebel) there when he had to move to another city to care for his wife. We are looking for a loving home, preferably in the Arkansas/Missouri area, for both Sissy and Rebel where they can live out the rest of their lives. If you are interested in learning more about them, please contact SCHS 870-269-5200 or via email at SCHS@yelcot.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sissy, a Ocean Ridge Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Ocean Ridge, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Ocean Ridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ocean Ridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ocean Ridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ocean Ridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
