Labrador Retriever/Border Collie Mix Puppy for adoption in Boulder, Colorado - Lexi-ADOPTION PENDING

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

I am up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

There's nothing quite like puppy energy and silliness...and then they lie quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm baby breath. They're so pure and vulnerable that it's unbearable to think of them in a high-kill shelter! Lexi, at only 10 weeks old and about 6 lbs (is estimated to be full grown at about 35 - 40 lbs), was facing the end of her life before it ever began. Farfel's Texas rescuers are compassionate and loving and couldn't turn their back on this puppy...they rescued Lexi just in time. This sweet and engaging Lab/Border Collie mix is starting out with great energy...the excellent results of her temperament-testing ended with a transport ticket to Colorado and a new life.

Lexi is also incredibly adorable...with her pure white, cottony-soft coat and very wise eyes. Lexi is appropriately playful and inquisitive for her young age. She's so smart and very typical of a Lab/Border Collie mix. She's also bright and so loving...clearly having no memory of her scary start.

Since Lexi is just a baby, she's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way. She has all the potential in the world to be an awesome companion - she will form firm bonds with her family (as well as other dogs & humans) and learn positive socialization skills through Puppy Socialization Class followed by positive reinforcement group Obedience Classes. It does take time and commitment...yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you in the world with appropriate behavior.

We're open to Lexi finding her forever home with an active family or individual with lots of energy to train and enjoy a puppy. Lexi is great with children as well and would thrive in a home where there's kids to play with and love up.

Lexi will be up to date on her vetting, however a very young puppy like Lexi is often deemed too young to spay. If this is the case, Farfel's will cover all costs for Lexi to be spayed and microchipped at our vet in Denver.

Lexi will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 12/20/16. If interested in this exceptional cuddly and very fun best friend , please fill out an application at and submit to or fax to 303-443-7730.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexi-ADOPTION PENDING, a Boulder Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
