Here's what the humans have to say about me:
There's nothing quite like puppy energy and silliness...and then they lie quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm baby breath. They're so pure and vulnerable that it's unbearable to think of them in a high-kill shelter! Lola, at only 10 weeks old and about 6 lbs (is estimated to be full grown at about 35 - 40 lbs), was facing the end of her life before it ever began. Farfel's Texas rescuers are compassionate and loving and couldn't turn their back on this puppy...they rescued Lola just in time. This sweet and engaging Lab/Border Collie mix is starting out with great energy...the excellent results of her temperament-testing ended with a transport ticket to Colorado and a new life.
Lola is also incredibly adorable...with her pure white, cottony-soft coat and very wise eyes. Lola is appropriately playful and inquisitive for her young age. She's so smart and very engaging...so typical of a Lab/Border Collie mix. She's also bright and so loving...clearly having no memory of her scary start.
Since Lola is just a baby, she's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way. She has all the potential in the world to be an awesome companion - she will form firm bonds with her family (as well as other dogs & humans) and learn positive socialization skills through Puppy Socialization Class followed by positive reinforcement group Obedience Classes. It does take time and commitment...yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you in the world with appropriate behavior.
We're open to Lola finding her forever home with an active family or individual with lots of energy to train and enjoy a puppy. Lola is great with children as well and would thrive in a home where there's kids to play with and love up.
Lola will be up to date on her vetting, however a very young puppy like Lola is often deemed too young to spay. If this is the case, Farfel's will cover all costs for Lola to be spayed and microchipped at our vet in Denver.
Lola will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 12/20/16. If interested in this exceptional cuddly and very fun best friend , please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
