"McJagger" is a magnificent 2-year old male kitty who made his debut at the HSOV on January 13, 2017 after a Good Samaritan found him int he Lowell Ohio area and brought him to the safety of our shelter. This handsome 'man about town' has a brown tabby-and-white short smooth coat,a long tail, and a rather rugged-looking chubby face with the sweetest smile and cute pink nose. "McJagger" is a friendly fellow who loves to tell you the story of his life, and he can carry on a good conversation with most anyone :) He was given vaccinations, wormer, and Revolution flea treatment on January 13, 2017. "McJagger" is a big boy who weighs 10.6 lbs. We had hoped someone would come looking for this great cat but sadly that did not happen :( "McJagger" was neutered on February 8, 2017 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

McJagger (Neutered), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
