My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JoJo has only been at Home Fur Good for a short period of time. She is slowly adapting to the hustle and bustle of shelter life. She is a two-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix weighing 39 pounds, and she is timid, but with each day she is gaining confidence. JoJo is very treat motivated, which helps her momentarily forget her shyness. Gentle praise and treats are just about the best things in the world for most pups. Each time they overcome a fear or push themselves just a little bit further, treat and praise, treat and praise. Eventually, they will learn that their own confidence is a good thing. There is no doubt that raising a shy dog is challenging. Some dogs will come out of their shells right away and adjust beautifully to family life, but others may take a bit more work. There is nothing better than watching your nervous rescue bloom into a happy, confident dog. The adoption fee is $200 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit with our vet. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm, and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm, and a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment. Visit our website at www.homefurgood.org for more information.
