Meet Jeegar, a gorgeous Bengal from the streets of Iran. Jeegar was found near death when he was only 2-3 weeks old. He was so weak that he couldn't walk more than 2-3 steps before falling down. A good Samaritan found him and he was taken to a vet and given antibiotics. Nobody thought he would survive, but he beat the odds and became an energetic, friendly and adorable cat!
Fast forward a few months and due to unforeseen politics and a few unfriendly dogs, Jeegar found his way to the states where he thought he’d have a new lease on life with the family who spared him! Unfortunate circumstances have prevented that happily ever after, but you could be the lucky guardian of this VERY LUCKY kitty!
Jeegar is as sweet as he is handsome. He has the purr of a tiger and enough love to shower the right family with kitty kisses for life. Because of Jeegar’s stressful start in life, he has developed what the vet believes to be an autoimmune disease that targeted his gums on the right side of his mouth. Even though he is only 8 months old, many of his teeth on the right side of his mouth were extracted. He may need to have more teeth removed in the future if the condition worsens, but now he's showing no signs of a problem with his gums.
We are determined to find Jeegar a loving home with people who will commit to providing him with the dental care he may need in the future. He has veterinary insurance through March of 2018 so he comes with some of his future vet care covered.
Jeegar would be wonderful with gentle children, other sweet kitties and even cat-friendly dogs (with slow introduction of course).

Jeegar is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.
