Monty is a Lakeland Terrier mix who recently arrived from the county shelter. Lakeland Terriers are known to be intelligent, trainable, friendly, confident, and independent. Monty has shown a piece of each of these great characteristics. He will come to any new friendly face, and he has caught on quickly to the routine of the shelter. When a staff member was asked what she likes about Monty, the reply was that he is so very calm. We tend to think of a terrier as high-energy. Right now, Monty is showing that he is a very chill 26-pound four-year-old who is ready to just go with the flow. The adoption fee is $200 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit with our vet. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm, and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. Out-of-state adoptions to surrounding states are possible; however, an in-person introduction with us and our dogs is mandatory. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm, and a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment. Visit our website at www.homefurgood.org for more information.
