My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucky is a 9 year old, 16 pound Rat Terrier mix. He loves a lap and attention from people. Lucky is a friendly, social guy who walks well on a leash and is always eager to explore new places. Lucky is good with other dogs his size and cats but would be perfectly happy being an only dog too. Lucky is scared of bigger dogs. At night Lucky likes to sleep with his people in the big bed. Lucky is middle aged and a snuggler, so he isn’t going to wake you up at the crack of dawn to go play. Lucky’s idea of a walk is a toddle around the block, not a 3 mile trot. Lucky has not been around small children and would probably not enjoy them.
Lucky spent 6 months in a southern shelter waiting to get out. He was in sad shape when he arrived at the shelter, his skin and eyes were irritated. Lucky is allergic to fleas and the poor guy was infested with them. Lucky also has bad knees which are common in the small dogs. At some point in his life Lucky may require some pain meds. Right now they don’t cause him any problems.
Lucky is housetrained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
