Pete and Mac were rescued from a horrific commercial breeding puppy mill in May of this year (along with another Bichon - Truman.). These two sweeties would benefit from being adopted in to a home where there is another dog available to socialize them. Since these two are still shy and learning to trust people, children in the home must be over the age of 10. Mac is approx. 8 years old and Pete is approx 7 years old. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. These boys are still learning what freedom is and are still a little skittish, but well behaved. They are partially housebroken and do know how to use the doggie door, sleep in a doggie bed, and have a great appetite, but are still learning to trust humans and learning to act like "regular" dogs.
They deserve a family with lots of love and patience. They are good with other dogs, we do not know how they would react to cats or kids. At night when you first go to bed they will bark for a short period, but will quiet down. They love treats and to be scratched. They've been given a second chance when they were rescued from the horrific breeding mill and now they are ready for a home to call their own.
