Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET CHEDDAR!
This happy girl is named Cheddar! About 9 years old, she was found stray and brought to animal control before quickly getting scooped up by us at City of Elderly Love. A vet examination found her in good health to go along with her good spirits, so now she is ready to bring some joy to a home of her own. Beware, with her sweet eyes, waggy tail and giddy grin, she steals your heart in an instant!
Cheddar is definitely a people-pup and loves attention and butt scratches. She is a loving, low-key friend who is just happy to be around you, whatever you're doing, as long as you don't mind an occasional nudge when it's time for pets! She gets along well with a resident cat and another resident dog in her foster home, although she prefers to enjoy mealtime alone. Cheddar loves long walks through the city and has a knack for finding the perfect grassy patch in which to do her business. She is also completely housebroken and is happy to lounge around and mind the house while her human is at work. She enjoys the finer things in life like comfy beds, wet food mixed with kibble, and -- oh, did we mention? -- cheddar cheese!
Cheddar is looking for a home to call her own and she isn't picky about who she loves. She is patient and easy going and would make a fabulous addition to your family, big or small. Due to early-stage arthritis in her hind legs (for which she takes medication with her breakfast and dinner) she would do best in a home without many stairs required to get in and out -- they get exhausting, you know! If you're looking for a companion to make you smile all day long, Cheddar is your gal!
Cheddar is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also heartworm and lymes disease negative. Interested in meeting her?
