Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET VICTORIA!
This stunning girl is named Victoria! Victoria is a ~!4 year old Basset Hound mix who found her way to City of Elderly Love after being seized by Humane Law Enforcement. Luckily for Victoria, she only had to spend a couple days in the shelter before landing a foster home. We're not sure what Victoria's past was like, but we do know that she has an amazing personality regardless and that her future is bright!
We're not sure what Victoria is mixed with, but she weighs about 50 lbs. so a bit smaller than your average Basset, but she does have that excellent Basset howl and magnificent floppy ears! She's crate trained and happily snoozes while her foster parents are away at work during the day. She is mostly housebroken but has had a couple accidents and may need a little help adjusting to a new walk schedule in her future home. Victoria is currently living with three larger dogs and a couple foster kittens! She gets along great with her foster siblings though likes to stay out of the way when the roughhouse. She'd prefer to just watch their antics from the comforts of the couch. She doesn't pay any attention to her kitty friends. While Victoria enjoys spending her time with other animals, she was a bit nervous and scared of them for the first week or so when she first left the shelter. It may have just been due to all of the changes she had just experienced, but we think she'll need a little bit of time to adjust to her forever home and that she'd be happiest in a quieter home where she can relax, go for walks with her family, and binge Netflix on the couch. Victoria has been sweet, gentle and appropriate with everyone she's met including children!
Victoria is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is vaccinated and microchipped. Victoria does not appear spayed and our vets do not believe putting her through surgery is necessary at her age. She tested a light positive for lymes disease at the shelter and was treated with a round of antibiotics. Interested in adopting this beautiful dog?
