My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Walden is a young guinea pig who is looking for his forever home. He and several other guinea pigs, were rescued from the back of a pet store, alongside many others. There, they were living in their own filth, and even their most basic needs were looked upon as inconvenience. Never awarded a kind word, favorable glance, left to multiply and slowly perish, they had a rough start in life.

Now, safe in a foster home and having been examined by a vet, Walden and his friends are growing stronger and are learning to trust, and appreciate human affection. They were very quiet when they arrived but they soon found their voices, coached by other guinea pigs in their foster home. So far they discovered they love greens, running up and down the ramps in their roomy enclosure, and popcorning in delight!

Walden is currently housed with his friends, Chester and Warwick, and they are available for adoption as a trio, or Walden to a home with another male guinea pig already in it. Walden is about 8 months old, healthy, confident, and playful.
