Here's what the humans have to say about me:
10/11/09 ~~ Wendel (1 1/2 to 2 yr old) was rescued from a rural Ohio kill shelter. Their kennels were full and Wendel's required stay there was up. Stray, no one came looking for him. Friendly boy -- possible mix but he has / is mostly Basset hound. Very handsome Black and Tan, short easy care coat. Needs to gain a few pounds. Crate trained and keeping it clean. Needs work on leash walking and would do well in obedience classes. Has been friendly to people. Good with most but best with female dogs. We do not know about cats. As with all hounds we highly suggest secure fenced yard for exploring and safety. Hounds have a tendency to follow a scent oblivious to surroundings. Progressing on house training. Still needs added work / reminder on manners. Neutered, vaccines up to date, heartworm negative and prevention started. Wendel's ready for a good home where he can receive the attention he craves and the love he deserves. Fun happy boy!!! Adoption fee $160. WENDEL~FUN! is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.
