Baxter found himself in a kill shelter (dogpound) scared and confused. Not sure what was going on. He had only 2 days before he was to be euthanized. Dogworks, Inc took him into rescue. Baxter is safe, but still needs help! Baxter is less than 2 years old (15 - 18 months) weighing 41 pounds. Not a big boy - he reminds us of a mini Golden Retriever. With a wonderful friendly & loving disposition. Upon taking to our vet --- We found this boy to be Heartworm POSITIVE -- he needs treatment to save him from this nasty parasite. It generally takes 2 injections one month a part to cure. A quiet home during this period also. Please consider helping us raise the funds to treat Baxter.
