My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Eddie. I am one very good looking boy. Somewhere along my life I was hit by a car / other and not taken care of. But this does not stop me. I run and play like any pup just with a front leg that is not the best.

I first saw Eddie dodging cars under the overpass of the 51 on Indian school. It was during rush hour so cars were everywhere. I pulled my car directly into cars entering the freeway to stop the traffic for Eddie to keep running. Once clear of this intersection I followed him in and out of traffic and parking lots (with a homeless man on a bicycle assisting me) for an hour and a half. He finally dropped at a small shaded area in a grass area at a community center.

The homeless man got his belt around eddies head while he drank a bottle of water I had in my car. To lure him to my car I went inside the community center for a vending machine while the man sat with Eddie outside. I of course had only a 5 dollar bill on me and no one around had change to give me for the vending machine. I traded my 5 for a little girls 1 and bought him a ninety cent bag of cheetos, which worked to slowly lure him in the car. I stopped at multiple vets to have him scanned for a microchip to no prevail. Eddie had been running a while.

He did not move from a couch on our back patio for about 36 hours. He laid there while we feed him and gave him water and even put cool compresses on his paws (which were very beat up).

He is still working on getting to a appropriate weight but his spine and ribs are still visible. Eddie is very timid at first but loves kids and women but is somewhat weary of men at first. He is full of life despite his bad leg and is in need of some tlc.
