Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Great traits:
Shasta is a Independent, Loving, Energetic, sweet Young Lady. She is great with all size dogs and loves to play with them but sometimes her Motherly instinct kicks in and she'll be a bit dominate; No aggression just being a Mom. She is great with Kids, Do not recommend Cats with the Husky prey drive. She loves to cuddle next to you on the couch or at bedtime, but will also go lay on the floor or her bed. She is house trained and crate trained, which we recommend until she gets use to her new life with YOU!!!
Bad Traits:
She does have a bit of separation anxiety until she feels comfortable and knows she will not be left alone. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND a home with Another Dog as she is use to having dogs around and it helps with her anxiety issue. If left alone outside, she will dig and try to go over walls so we recommend a 8 ft block wall. Inside, she'll try to go thru windows, this is WHY we suggest Crating her when gone, she is use to a crate and it keeps her safe from any harm. ALL of these issues can be worked with as her current foster parents are doing extensive training with her.
Other than that, she is AWESOME!! So if you are willing to help her along with continued training, Give Shasta a shotat being Your awesome pet.
Please contact the foster family at: mwest@valleydogs.org if you are interested in meeting this sweet girl.
