Hi. My name is Toby. I thought my life was pretty good for a long time and then something happened now I am not so sure about anything anymore. Life didn't turn out the way it was supposed to for me when I was just two days old, my Mother was killed by a car. It was a hot afternoon and I was left laying in the sun squealing for help. I almost died that day but fortunately, a kind PetPromise volunteer found me and she loved me and fed me from a bottle and carried me around. I was so happy and even though the odds were stacked against me. I survived because I knew that people loved me. I was adopted by a couple and I was loved. I loved those people - they made me feel so happy! But then a baby was born and I was nervous and sad. I didn't always use my litter box and my people got so angry at me. I didn't know what I did wrong. Before I understood what was happening I was returned to PetPromise. My heart was breaking. I had lost the people that loved me - the people I loved and I had no idea why. Thank goodness that PetPromise was here to take me back or I could have been taken to a shelter where, well ANYTHING could have happened to me. I guess I will never have a home of my very own again where I can give my special kitty kisses and be carried around like a baby. I still have accidents now and then but is that a reason to give up a family member? I know that there has to be someone out there that will love me forever no matter what. Isn't there? Our Adoption Process...

PetPromise volunteers do their best to ensure that all of the PetPromise pets and their new owners are the perfect match. For that reason the adoption process may take several days to complete. We do our best to ensure that the adoption of the pet is "for life."

If you are interested in adopting a particular pet, please complete an online adoption application at http://petpromise.org/adoption-application. We conduct reference checks and require a home visit before any adoption. The adoption fee varies by pet.
