Athena's Info...
| Breed: | Husky/German Shepherd Dog Mix | Color: | Brown/Chocolate - With Black | Age: | Puppy |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Female |
HI there! My name is Athena.
Athena ran right up to us when we called to her and she acted like she's always known us. She is around 26 lbs and the vet thinks she is 4 months old. She has big feet and will be a big dog. She is a shepherd mix......possibly part husky due to the blue eyes? I
don't know for sure.
She is crate trained and potty trained now. She is very playful and full of energy. She loves to play with other dogs and loves to swim. She seems to be very familiar with being around water. She isn't afraid of anything and is very social with other dogs and with people. Not sure how she would be around cats, but when she first ran up to us, I had feral cats in my front yard and she didn't pay any attention to them.
She goes to the door when she needs to go out. She is also getting used to sleeping in the kennel. She cries for a few minutes, then sleeps through the night.
Athena is very affectionate and playful. She does need basic puppy training and to learn who is the alpha. She does play hard and will most likely be the dominant dog in a pack.
This pup is a courtesy post with Valley Dogs Rescue. Please contact jalynbrwn@cox.net if you are interested in meeting this sweet dog
Rescue Group Info...
We are a pending non-profit, no-kill rescue organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming adoptable cats and dogs. We have over 40 years of combined rescue experience and knowledge.
We do not have a kennel / shelter type of facility. We believe the most effective and successful way to match families and pets is to foster them in our own homes. Ultimately fostering our rescue animals in homes rather than a kennel environment allows us to give you complete information on the pet's behavior and how well he / she will fit with your family and lifestyle.
At Valley Dogs we make every effort to place the right animal in the right home. To aid in this goal, we use trained Adoption Consultants to help you select the best match for your lifestyle. You will meet with an Adoption Consultant and discuss your lifestyle, activity level, expectations, likes/dislikes, and past experiences with animals. Your consultant will then recommend the best match for your family and your lifestyle.
