Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, my name is Kirra (Keer-rah). My sister Fiona and I came to Valley Dogs when our mom lost her home and could not keep us. Fiona and I have been together since mom adopted us from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control in May of 2005. We would love to find a home together if possible, since we have been together most of our lives.
Mom says I am sensitive, very intelligent, easily taught, quick-to-learn, well behaved and well mannered. Our new foster mom agrees, as well as many of the people who have met us at adoption events.
Currently we are in a foster home with many other dogs of various sizes. It’s a little much to get used to after having just one sister, but I get along well with all the other dogs. I am crate trained and doggie door trained. I can be a little fearful at first, but I am also curious about the new things around me so just give me a few moments to know it is okay, and I will warm up quickly and start exploring.
Although I was not in a home with children, I have been exposed to young children and behaved exceedingly well with them.
I do have just a bit of a issue with a birth defect or early injury on my back foot. It does not hold me back or debilitate me in any way, although I would not be a good jogging partner. I do enjoy walks, but can tire out if I try to go too far. My foster mom is working with me so we know exactly what gives me a good amount of exercise without being too much. I also come with all my medical information that my previous owner provided the rescue, so you will know all about me.
I am a great dog and will make a wonderful addition to the lucky family who adopts me (and hopefully Fiona as well). If you would like to meet me, please contact my foster mom at crystallarnold@msn.com.
