Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello – My name is Kino.
He is very social and loves meeting new people. He gets along with other dogs very well when properly introduced and is very gentle despite his size. He is house trained, he is leash trained, curb trained and knows several commands such as sit, stay and shake.
He is not a chewer, in fact he does not seem to like any toys I give him with the exception of pressed rawhide bones. He does not bark unless he senses danger.
He does unfortunately seem to have moderate to severe separation anxiety issues. He likes to follow me around the house when I am active and will quickly start whining/trembling if there is a barrier between us such as a closed door or window. During the day he will sometimes feel safe enough to wander off into the next room or go outside through the dog door, especially if I am stationary (watching TV, on the computer, in the kitchen, etc.) but only if he knows where I am and has access to my location.
He needs a family who has someone at home on a regular basis, and has the time to slowly help him overcome his anxiety/separation issues. He currently needs almost constant contact with humans and/or possibly other dogs to feel safe.
This pup is a courtesy post with Valley Dogs Rescue. Please contact peter.kulikowski@hotmail.com if you are interested in meeting this sweet dog.
