Teddy's Story...
This is Petey. Petey is a purebred, papered Bichon Frise. Petey is 9 years old and is in great health. He acts more like a puppy than anything else.

Petey's mom has had him since he was 11 weeks old. Six months ago she moved from a home into an apartment. Petey has transitioned into apartment life well. However, Petey's mom is elderly and Petey is more energetic and strong than she is able to handle.

Now that he does not have a yard to run in, she feels he is not as happy as he could be. For these reasons, she feels it is best for him to find a home with someone who is more active and can meet his needs better. Petey is good with other dogs and kids. He is completely house broken and loves all the attention he can get.

This pup is a courtesy post with Valley Dogs Rescue. Please email if you are interested in this sweet dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Gilbert Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
