My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Phoebe came to ARC because of her guardian’s failing health and inability to care for Phoebe any longer. Phoebe is still adjusting to not being in her forever home with all her familiar surroundings, but she is beginning to come around nicely. She is still a little shy, but good with people and has lots of love to offer. Although she currently lives in the Casa Luis cottage with other FIV+ cats, she would do best as the only cat in her forever home.

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
