My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Taco is a sweet, easy-going kitty who found her way back to ARC after her guardian could no longer care for her. Despite facing such an unexpected change, Taco's friendly spirit shone through—she adjusted quickly and now seems to be enjoying herself at ARC.

This gentle kitty is often found lounging in the screened area, soaking in the fresh Florida breezes, and happily socializing with everyone—staff, volunteers, and visitors alike. Taco thrives on attention and affection, always eager for a friendly pet or a kind word.

Why not complete an application today to make an appointment to meet this gently natured kitty? See for yourself what a delightful, affectionate companion she can be!

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
