Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Roxanne was adopted as a 6 year old dog and came back to the shelter these eight years later as a senior. Her mom passed away last year and her dad is very sick. So he wanted to be sure she came back to PAWS before she ended up alone. She is very shy and timid and does tend to bite. She has limited hearing and vision which adds to her fear. She will need a home with someone who has a lot of patience and experience with a dog who bites out of fear. She is not mean but just trying to protect herself. We have made some progress but it is very slow and very tiny baby steps. But it is amazing to see any response from her at all. She loves Milos treats so that has been the key to gaining any trust at all. If you are the right fit for her, please go to pawspaws.org to complete the application. Please note: she will not be adopted to a home with children (including grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbor children, etc) She will bite when scared so a home with children would not work well for her or the children. She needs a home with a fenced yard as she is a flight risk. Thanks so much for thinking if her. If you aren't a good fit for her, please keep her in your prayers. I know she will blossom - she just has to take it very slowly.
