Chico came to us from a desperate situation with his sister Charley and was skin and bones. He has doubled his weight in the last month or so and now is ready to find his forever home.
Chico is very shy and timid until he gets to know you, then you will get his wiggle butt. His ideal home will be calm and with another dog and understanding dog parents who will let him decompress and come out of his shell. He will be an absolute faithful companion and he should bear no responsibility for the crappy hand he was dealt by previous crappy owners. He has overcome so much since he has joined us, we just know what a great dog he is and know he will make the perfect companion dog for the right person. You must have a physically fenced yard and kids over 12 would be preferred.
He was very much outside of his comfort zone in the studio and you can see that in his pictures, but I have also uploaded a little video so you see more of the Chico that we see on the daily. Please open your home and heart to this sweet boy. He is fully vetted, a year old, heart worm negative and about 55 lbs currently. He uses the doggy door to go out when he needs to go outside.

We are happy to set up a meet and greet for the approved application. His adoption fee is $150.00 and he is being fostered in Cookeville, TN. You must be able to come to Tennessee to pick up if your application is approved.

First step in our process is to submit an application through our website. They are reviewed and we contact those who could be a good match

Interview
Phone interview to get more information about you, your family and tell you more about the pup(s) you are interested in.

Approve Application
Once we approve an application, we set the status of the pup to "Adoption Pending" and schedule a home visit and meet and greet.

Home Check
We arrange a meet and greet and home visit if within distance. If all goes well we will finalize adoption at the end of this meeting.

Our adoption donations are usually $150 for adult dogs and $200 - $300 for puppies - depending on the animal, breed, etc. We expect that our pets will live indoors, and will be adopted to families who have the desire to add another family member to their home. A vet reference is required.
