Meet Adam! He is a 5 yr old neutered male mix breed that weighs 55 lbs and is microchipped. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray on 5/16 with his sibling Loki. His owners were contacted yet they decided not to reclaim either pup. He is so adorable with his one ear up, one ear down, and the sweetest smile! Adam knows how to put on the charm when you ask him to sit, he does, but then will give you his paw without asking and show that big smile that you just can't resist! He walks well on a leash but at times can be a strong puller. He may be housetrained as he went right to the bathroom when we went outside. He is a very happy, energetic and lively boy. He is not too interested in toys but did chase a ball a bit. He would make a great family companion, where his family is a bit active to help him with this energy. He gets excited when taking treats so he would need a bit more training to let him know he will get the treat, no worries. He enjoys being petted and loved on too. He sure hopes he can find his own loving family where he has a secured backyard to run and play in. Then back inside out of the heat where he can take long naps on his own dog bed or cuddling close on the couch with his family. Come spend time with this great boy and see if he is a fit for your family.
