Meet Dante! He is a 2 yr old neutered male mixed breed that weighs 53lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 3/12 as a stray. Dante is gorgeous! He is a mix of a Saint Miguel Cattle Dog/Kai Ken/Terrier breeds. He appears to have been well cared for, house trained, yet his family has not come back to reclaim him. He has such a shiny soft brindle coat that make his brown eyes stand out. He is not only looks, but a big love bug personality too! While out in the shelter yard he enjoys chasing toys but does not bring them back. He enjoyed rolling upside down in the grass showing me his happy go lucky personality. He walks well on a leash, takes treats gently and knows the sit command. He loves to be close and cuddly, he will put his paw in my lap and give me plenty of kisses and I return them right back to him on his head. As we walked through the shelter, he did not show any reaction to the other dogs barking at him. We do always ask if there will be another dog in the home to please ask the shelter for a dog test. Dante would make a great family companion. Come spend some time with him as he will capture his heart just as he has mine!
