My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sweet Potato (Sweetie)! Sweet Potato will be 8 weeks old on Wednesday, July 12. She is an Australian Shepherd/Heeler mix, blue merle with a full tail. Sweet Potato came into rescue with 2 of her siblings from a farm in WI at 5 weeks old. Sweet Potato is the fluffiest puppy who is equally snuggly and playful. She has enjoyed following the big dogs around the yard or sitting back and observing them, wrestling her sisters, getting belly rubs, and chewing on sticks. She loves everyone she meets big and small. Aussie/Heelers will have a lot of drive and energy, so she will enjoy an active family who will find her a job or an activity to engage in. She is starting to get a bit mouthy as most puppies, especially herding breeds do. A family who is experienced in herding breeds or has a game plan in place for herding tendencies would be ideal.

All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com All dogs have an adoption fee of $300 plus MN sales tax. Her adoption fee will have a $100 deposit added to it for her spay. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.
