Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ranger - a 6 yo, 43 pound Australian Shepherd. Ranger is a sweet, active, dog who loves the dog parks and meeting both new people and new dogs. Ranger is always up for a hike in the woods, a swim in a lake or even a canoe ride. Ranger especially loves the water. He is well trained - comes when called, does not chew, and while crate trained, can be left free at home without causing any damage. Ranger does counter surf though, so food does need to be put away.
Ranger is in need of a new home since his owner has new and expanded work responsibilities that now limit her ability to give Ranger the attention and company he needs. He has not lived in a home with children or cats but his sweet and curious nature is a good sign that he could adjust with proper attention to the transition.
The details:
Needs fence: No, and he is currently escaping his fence.
Good with dogs: Yes,
Good with cats: Unknown
Good with kids: Unknown but likely
All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $400 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.
