Meet Yin - a little black cat with the biggest heart!
Only a few months ago Yin was a skinny outdoor cat with patchy fur and very poor dental health. But after some veterinary care and indoor recuperation he is a happy, healthy, friendly boy looking for his forever family. Yin loves being around people, adores other cats, and would do best in a home where there is already a friendly cat he can bond with.
Yin, above all else, loves love. He loves good feelings and sweetness, to the point that if he hears another cat purring somewhere, he will come running over and start purring next to them. His fosters say that the moment their alarm goes off in the morning he races into their bed to purr and cuddle against them.
He is the perfect balance of playful and cuddly - he likes to zoom around with his foster's resident cats, plays on his own with springs and soft toys, and then snuggles up on the couch with the humans as they read or watch TV. He has come a long way from his days as a street cat in Brooklyn and he is fully socialized to the presence, pets, and love of humans. At times he can be slightly skittish, though this usually means he will dance away when someone unexpectedly approaches him and then will quickly come right back for pets and affection (we expect that with time, this behavior will diminish as he becomes even more comfortable with his surroundings.)
Some other facts about Yin: Yin suffered from dental disease while outside and had to have the little remaining teeth he had left removed. This has not been a problem for him and he's been thriving on his wet food diet indoors. No teeth, no problem! Yin also has food-based allergies which drastically subsided when he was switched to a beef-based cat food diet (no poultry or fish proteins for this guy!)
