Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lydia is a 12 y/o female who came to HBHR from a hoarding situation. Lydia was emaciated, anemic with severe skin problems when rescued. She was so weak that she could barely walk. Today she is has gained 7 pounds and looks good with 20 pounds on her 13-inch frame! Her muscles are strong again and she can be spotted running back when “Cookie Time” is announced!

Lydia had good house manners for a girl who has spent her life as a yard dog. She uses the dog door without any problems and then returns to the Bungalow to find a new bed to curl up in. Some dogs like to have one place that they call their own, but Lydia likes to sample every kennel and bed!

Lydia is always happy to see you and her tail is always thumping when people are around to give her attention. She loves having her ears rubbed. She will come up and make little mewing noises to tell you it is time for an ear rub. One young visitor was spotted rubbing her ears just the way she likes. When asked how she knew, she said that Lydia had asked for it to be done!!

Lydia needs a forever home where she can spend the rest of her life being pampered and adored! She is positive for heartworms so will be adopted with the rest of a year’s supply of Advantage Multi to complete her slow kill treatment.
