My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bear! Bear is an 11 week old, tricolor, Australian shepherd with a docked tail. Bear hails from a farm in WI. His birthday is May 21, 2023. He is up to date on his vaccinations and is microchipped.
Bear is shy at first, but with patience, treats and toys, he will quickly come out of his shell. He loves playing with the dogs in his foster home, going for sniff walks and playing with toys. He is in full on teething “piranha” mode, so the foster always keeps a toy or a stick in hand to redirect. He is showing his herding instinct and was stressing out the cat in his previous home, so a home without small animals would be best. His foster believes he could be trained to respect and leave a dog savvy cat alone. He is very observant of his surroundings before engaging. He also respects the older dogs in the home when they set a boundary.
Bear does well in his kennel when he is not out playing and engaging with his foster family, he is doing very well with potty training and has only had a couple of accidents. He will go potty outside right away. He is currently sleeping through the night and does not have any accidents overnight as long as he is let out first thing in the morning. His first home started clicker training, so he is accustomed to that method of training, he already knows how to sit for his food!
All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com All dogs have an adoption fee of $300 plus MN sales tax. Her adoption fee will have a $100 deposit added to it for her spay. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives.
