My name is Lipton and I am 2 years old. I was rescued from a kill shelter and am currently in boarding in Northern CA. I was found with another dog named Tazo who is also here in boarding with me.
At the shelter I was too fearful to leave my kennel. It was scary and I was very nervous in my kennel. Although, when offered food, I was willing and able to eat and move around the kennel in a strangers presence.

Here in boarding I have been able to decompress a bit. I am dog friendly and love playing with the other dogs here. I also enjoy playing in mud puddles! I love playing ouside and going for walks and exploring the world around me. I am still very shy, but I am figuring out my world.
I am hoping for a family of my very own. If you are looking for an easy going companion who will love you unconditionally I might be your guy.

More about this rescue
We are a non-profit rescue organization who helps rescue dogs and sometimes other animals from Contra Costa Animal Services as well as other local shelters; usually the scared, overlooked or often the ones off the euthanasia list. We also rescue dogs who have been injured or abandoned trying to keep them from having to go into the shelter after looking for an owner. We then place them in foster homes to decompress and learn to be part of a family as well as learn structure and boundaries. If needed and we can, we also have trainers that help prepare our dogs for adoption.
